“We are a Sixth Form that celebrates who you are and who you are becoming. Here, you will find the support, inspiration and challenge to thrive - not just as a pupil, but as a well-rounded, world-ready individual.”

“The Sixth Form Centre provides an excellent space for work and for relaxation during lunch time and is a massive benefit of moving into the Sixth Form.”

A SPACE TO ENGAGE and motivate
The open plan setting is gently zoned, offering areas for smaller groups to work together or interact socially. These collaborative spaces are ideal for pupils participating in group work around laptops, actively engaging and sharing ideas or simply catching up with friends. Enriching the social experience further, the Centre is served by a café which offers a range of drinks, snacks and light meals. |
“The school has installed focus and discipline through study, which has allowed my children to explore their talents, helping them to become responsible young adults.”

ACADEMIC LIFE
Academic study at King Edward's Sixth Form provides you with an opportunity to explore subjects you love with like minded peers in an environment that fosters independence, intellectual curiosity and academic excellence. There are around 30 subjects on offer in the sixth form, with almost any combination possible. In addition to A Level study, we also offer a unique Pathways Programme, designed to enrich our pupils' academic lives and broaden their aspirations in impressive ways. Our exam results consistently rank us amongst the top independent schools in the south-west according to The Sunday Times Parent Power Survey. |

PASTORAL CARE & WELLBEING
The Sixth Form is about self-discovery, growing independence and learning to lead within the school community. Most Year 11 pupils continue into Year 12 and are joined at this stage by approximately 30 pupils from other schools.
They are placed into one of 15 small tutor groups, led by a tutor who will help to guide them through the different aspects of Sixth Form life, from developing the skills of independent study to making the most of the diverse opportunities available at KES and preparing for their next steps beyond school.

CO-CURRICULAR LIFE
Beyond the classroom, pupils are encouraged to take lead roles in the organisation of the School, be it in positions of responsibility as prefects or by running their own clubs and societies. They challenge themselves across activities, ranging from the Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Award through to Model United Nations, drama productions, the Combined Cadet Force and countless musical groups. It is through these opportunities that they develop their leadership skills, use their initiative and their individuality and abilities are given a platform upon which to shine. |

At the end of their two short years in the Sixth Form, it is hoped that each pupil has developed their academic potential fully, that they have been challenged and inspired both in and out of the classroom and that they have developed numerous happy memories.
